Even more adventures in eating

I keep trying to grab Mom and Dad's forks - so they got me my own. This is a whole new challenge.

I'm trying to scoop my peas. This is more complicated that it looks.
If someone puts food on the fork, I can get it to my mouth.

Fruit

I found an orange on our walk.
And a lemon. I held onto it even while swinging.
I even managed to walk all the way home holding my orange and lemon.

Words

Vivi's teachers have noticed her using the words "Duck" and "Dog." We've heard her saying "All Done" and "Again." She talks constantly - we just don't understand most of what she says. She growls to express her displeasure when we don't understand her.

On a walk and "all done"

On a walk to the swings. Now that we've let her use her walker to walk around outside, she does not want to be carried and probably won't want to ride in her stroller. I think our walks are going to be Vivi-speed for a while.

In other news, Vivi's first real words (that we have noticed)- "all done." She has mimicked quite a few other words - and babbles non-stop, but "all done" she says on her own when she finishes eating at home and at daycare.

A tour and ducks

Let me give you a tour of my favorite places at home.

This is under the kitchen table.

This is the gate on the stairway.

The gate showed up right about time I started crawling - I'm sure it was so I'd have something else to pull up on.

And this is my tunnel.
Now let me tell you about feeding ducks. You have to stay low to the ground - stealth like.

And they just might come talk to you.

Tunnels, Ovens, and Firetrucks

Three posts in one day! It's too much I know, but Vivi's been busy...
now I have a tunnel to push my cart through

I have to duck as I go under.

And then I scooted my cart over to the oven and climbed up - I can push the buttons!

Looks like Mommy and Daddy need to up their child-proofing game.

Then I went to a birthday party - they had a REAL fire truck.

I sat in the front seat.

Vivi's bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down

I like to crawl under things these days so Mommy built a bridge for me to crawl under.

I think I improved it.

This week Vivi saw her first movie - The Muppets - at the drive-in.
