I can fix it.

This is the story of what proceeded the video in yesterday's post. It's the conversation that made me think, "I should be filming this." The conversation that actually got filmed was entertaining, but not nearly as entertaining as the first part.

Vivi: (hands mommy a lego "hotel") Do you like it?
Mommy: Thank you. I do like it.
Vivi: (breaks part of the top off). It's broken.
Mommy: Oh.
Vivi: Mommy, look sad!
Mommy: Oh. I'm so sad (frowns). My hotel is broken.
Vivi: (very excited) It's Okay! I can fix it!
Mommy hands tower over and Vivi puts blocks back on.
Mommy: Thank you!
Vivi: (breaks part of top off). It's broken! Look sad, Mommy.
Mommy: Oh. My hotel is broken.
Vivi: It's Okay! I can fix it.
(REPEAT THIS CONVERSATION 10 TIMES OR SO)

Then she changed her part of the conversation just a little...

Vivi: (Hands Mommy tower).
Mommy: Thank you
Vivi: It's not done
Mommy: Okay. (gives it back to Vivi)
Vivi: (puts a block on). Okay it's done.
Mommy. Thank you.
Vivi: It's not done
(REPEAT THIS CONVERSATION 10 TIMES)

Yesterday morning I asked Vivi, "Are you ready to go to school?" She got a crazy look in her eye and said, "No! I am ready to RUN AMOK!" and then ran around the room waving her arms around.

The zoo was all dressed up for their big fundraiser. I got to play on all the pretend animals getting set up.

Today was the gorilla's birthday.

We went to a new indoor play place. In this picture, mommy said to "say cheese" but instead I turned around and jumped.

An Impoohster!

Vivi left Pooh Bear at an indoor playplace on Saturday evening. We expected disaster if she figured out at bed time that Pooh Bear wasn't around. But our neighbors came to the rescue. We knew their child had the exact same Pooh Bear and wasn't quite so attached to Pooh. So, in a covert operation we replaced Vivi's Pooh with the Impoohster until we could retrieve the original. I thought for sure she'd notice her name wasn't on the tag. She never knew the difference and her friend never missed her Pooh Bear.

Questions and Answers

At Vivi's school, they ask a question of all the children and record their answers in a journal for the parents to see. Reading these is one of my favorite parts of picking her up. The questions are often related to a book they read that day. Yesterday after reading a book called, "Make New Friends," the teacher asked, "Who are your friends?" Vivi answered, "Mama, Daddy, Shauna (her teacher)." :)

A: Red car. It goes beep beep.

A: Pasta. There are no waffles at Vivi's house

A: 1, 2, 3

Q: What do you do after school?
A: We get in the car and go home.

Q: What is your favorite color?
A: All the colors! Blue.
