Vivi's first earthquake

Yesterday at 7:38am, Vivi experienced her first earthquake - a 4.8 centered just 3 miles away.

Say "cheese", bees!

Vivi is both fascinated and terrified of the bees in our yard. And right now we have a lot of bees - they like the flowers. So, I was taking photos of the bees so that Vivi could look at them on the computer and didn't have to get too close. As I took photos, she stood behind me and yelled, "Say 'cheese' bees!" -- so if you look carefully enough, you might just see those bees smiling.
