Home Depot Kid's Workshop

Every month, Home Depot has a kid's workshop. It's for kids 5-10, but we all know I'm advanced. And our Home Depot is really nice to little people like me. I got a pin. This month we made a firetruck.

We got to build a firetruck (mommy put it together for me- I wasn't very good with the hammer - maybe next month)

But then I got to paint it - but since no one had painted the parking lot yet, I started there.

Two movies. The first one is of Vivi doing "somersaults." She actually did a few pretty good ones before I turned on the camera.

The second video is of Vivi in her crib after having gone in a bouncy house at the zoo. I think she thinks her crib is her own bouncy house. No idea why the video is so green. When she goes over to the stuffed giraffe in the middle of the video - she is changing the sound it makes.

Fun times at the pumpkin patch - again

Back at the pumpkin patch - I LOVE this place. All the toddlers know that it's the best place to play in town.

Art and Science - swirling colors

Several people have asked how we made this image that we posted on Facebook. So here are the instructions.

Put a little bit of milk in a bowl (or plate or tray or whatever). We use whole milk but 2% should also work.

Add some drops of food color. Don't mix.

Add a drop of dish soap and - watch the colors swirl and move. Here you can see where we dropped the soap (orange oval right in the center of picture).

Pumpkin patch

It's that time again! The pumpkin patch is open. 

The hay rides haven't started yet. We'll have to come back for that.

We went into the corn maze - and phew - we made it out.

Touch-a-truck

 

 Touch-A-Truck is an annual event where kids can explore all kinds of vehicles. There were firetrucks, ambulances, tractors, a trolley car, a helicopter, and all sorts of other vehicles. I liked the wash-a-truck area. We got to wash somebody's car (Mommy said she should have parked her car there). I didn't really do any washing, but I stole all the sponges and squeezed the water out all over myself. And then I put all the sponges in the bucket and did it again. and again.  I was soaked!

The wheels on the tractor are bigger than me!

This was my favorite vehicle - a motorcycle.

The helicopter was cool - but the best part of it was the step stool. I climbed up and down and up and down the little ladder.
