Stats: Head 42 cm (38th %ile), Height 24 in (4th %ile), Weight 14 lb 4.5 oz (20th %ile)

Favorite activities: Picking up toys, putting toys in mouth, dropping toys, spinning around and around in exersauser, eating, laughing, blowing raspberries, rolling, pushing buttons that make noises happen.

A new record for continuous sleep

Last night was a new record for Vivi. At 7:45 she fell asleep and didn't wake up until 6.5 hours later! After 10 minutes of nursing she fell back asleep - for another 4 hours. Here's hoping it's a trend.

They want me to sleep during the day? Why would I do that?

A few of my favorite things

At almost 6 months, these are Vivi's favorite toys. Yes, that is a sippy cup next to the monkey. She can't get anything out of it, but it is apparently very entertaining.

Viva la Fiesta!

It's Fiesta Days  - a week long celebration. Today was the children's parade. Lots of little ones dancing, walking or riding in decorated wagons.

Guess the baby food

Guess the baby food! Vivi has tried 9 foods so far (rice cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, avocados, zucchini, prunes peaches and mango) - 5 of these are shown in pictures. Can you guess which foods are which?

I can sit up by myself now - not for very long and I have to focus very hard - but it's a start.

5 months (a little late)

With all our traveling, I forgot to take "5 month" photos of Vivi on July 15. Better late than never.

Visiting Granny and a new voice

We're visiting Vivi's granny. Unfortunately it's for a sad reason - Vivi's "Papa" (paternal grandfather) passed away on Friday after a long battle with cancer. We are happy she had a chance to meet him.

Vivi has been loving the baby toys at her granny's house that have accumulated from the other grandchildren who have outgrown them and the attention of family members. And she has found her voice (again). This time it's a high voice (compare to the voice she found last month -  http://a-grand-adventure-2011.blogspot.com/2011/06/beginning-to-babble.html).
