Headlights on the Trolley

The trolley costume now has a working headlight that Vivi can control with a little button. I used "LittleBits" (electronic manipulatives) and a little plastic food container. Now we just need a little bell and to put the wheels back on and we are ready for tomorrow. 

Getting ready for Halloween

Vivi wants to be the "neighborhood trolley" from Mr. Rogers/ Daniel Tiger's neighborhood. Here are the preparations so far....

Vivi picked up her ukelele and started playing it like this (she's holding a fern leaf like a violin bow). I have no idea where she's even seen a violin played.

Butterfly - with flapping wings.

Look closely at this photo. Vivi folded the edges of the paper together, checked to see if they opened and closed and then colored in the two folded in sides and the area between the sides. I had no idea what she was doing. In the end, she told me it was a "butterfly" --with wings that flapped.

Culinary Delights

Vivi has become quite the creative culinary artist. This weekend she got to choose what we had for breakfast. We had waffles and broccoli.

Today, she requested "getti" (spaghetti) and raisins.

Dropping balls. The top one flew up 5 feet!

Transfer of energy/air pressure. We lifted (with the rope) a ball on the right. It fell a few feet and the air sent a tennis ball WAY up in the air - maybe 5 feet higher than the top of the net.

A climbing structure - it went up 3 stories.

Children's Discovery Museum - Escondido

There is a children's museum near Nana and Boppa's house that I liked so much, we went there two days in a row. It's small but full of all the things I like to play with.
