Two videos

Both videos are from a recent trip to Costco. Vivi's excitement at the computer that did stuff when she pushed the buttons (above) and playing the drums (below).

Funny vivi - videos

In the above video, Vivi is (at first) trying to jump. Then she is mostly just laughing.  In the bottom video, Vivi is practicing "jumping."

Making art - video

Vivi has become a big fan of painting, coloring, etc. When she wants to draw or paint, she points at her crayons or paints or goes and gets her paper. She knows exactly where we keep them. This video is from this morning before breakfast. She'd already been coloring for a while before I started taking video.

And here's another picture of finger (foot) painting from earlier this week that I just downloaded off my phone.

brushing teeth, washing hands, and a duck

I'm brushing my two teeth!
At school, I can get up to the sink by myself!
I rub my hands together to get them clean

Vivi saw a duck as we were leaving pre-school. The video shows her yelling to/at the duck.

Old pictures and videos from my phone

Just getting around to downloading some pics and videos from my phone (poor resolution) over the past couple months....
My favorite mode of transportation
Hanging with Grandma
Playing music - old school style

Fast asleep on the train - with my rubber ducky
Playing in doll cradle at school

And two videos. The first is of her walking. The second of her getting in and out of her rocking chair (a new favorite activity).

Walking!

Vivi is walking! Last night (and again this morning) she walked half way across the kitchen (8 steps!) before sitting. I haven't been able to get any more than two steps on video though. We'll keep trying.

Watch out, pillow, I am going to get you!

Vivi did this over and over - I finally got one attack on film.

Peek-a-boo

Vivi playing peek-a-boo in the car. The lighting is terrible - bright sun and dark shadows.

On a walk and "all done"

On a walk to the swings. Now that we've let her use her walker to walk around outside, she does not want to be carried and probably won't want to ride in her stroller. I think our walks are going to be Vivi-speed for a while.

In other news, Vivi's first real words (that we have noticed)- "all done." She has mimicked quite a few other words - and babbles non-stop, but "all done" she says on her own when she finishes eating at home and at daycare.

Twinkle twinkle

At Vivi's school, the teachers do hand motions when they sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - basically both hands opening and closing - like twinkling stars. Now Vivi does the hand motions when we sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - until she gets bored and crawls away.

Waving

Vivi's new trick - waving. She has sort of waved a few times before now, but in the last couple days, she really figured it out. Earlier this week she reached her hand out to everyone she saw but didn't move her fingers. Today, she started waving by moving her fingers and she has been waving at people all day long.

My little inch worm!

Vivi is crawling! She made it all the way across her playmat. Of course I didn't think to video tape her until she was almost done and had worn herself out. I have my hand down on the mat behind her foot so that she has something to push against. But otherwise, she's done it all on her own.

Apparently this isn't all that unusual - and doesn't suggest that she'll be an early crawler. Newborns are born with a crawling reflex that disappears after the first 4 weeks of life. So she'll likely be crawling across her mat for another week and a half and then won't crawl again for several months.
