The return trip

Mom was packing luggage so I climbed into my car seat just to make sure I wasn't accidentally left behind.

Helping direct Grandma to the train station.

On the train - I got my first potato chips - courtesy of Amtrak.

washed them down with some milk

Wearing my Elmo bib just because I think it looks good with my dragon costume.

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa

I rode the train to visit Grandma and Grandpa
Four generations
Telling Grandpa's fish my latest news
I met Elmo!
Look at the hat Grandma gave me!

Butterflies

I went to the butterfly exhibit today. There were so many butterflies!

I found a guidebook and looked up all the butterflies I saw.

Then we walked to dinosaur park. I love the merry-go-round.

August 5

My feet are growing so fast

Picking out some tunes

I'm sure I can move these.

I got a cascorone (confetti filled eggshell found all over town at Fiesta time)

Confetti!

First organ composition

We now have my great grandmother's organ. She must have thought that it was time for me to begin my music education because she sent it up here with my grandparents. I've been practicing a lot and this is my first solo composition in the key of who knows.

Fiesta

Our official number - pinned to the side of the boat.

Walking with Daddy. Notice the umbrellas? It rained this morning. In August! On parade day. Fortunately it stopped just before parade time.

This was our float - it's a boat. All the kids could ride in it.
Our float made giant bubbles. The bubble mix is stored in the support pipe and the net gets lowered into the bubble solution and then pops up and makes a bubble.  Everyone cheered for us.
Sometimes I rode in the boat
But mostly, I ran about, directing the action.
Wow. Look at that bubble!

Playing with the flowers.

That was a lot of work. Now I hydrate.
