snow days at the zoo

Today, there was snow at the zoo. I sat in the snow - this stuff is COLD!

We went to a park with my friends. I chased the ducks.

Then they chased me

After the park, we went blueberry picking

And then we stopped by a giant Christmas tree.

Books

I reorganized my books - now I can see them much better than when they were all lined up on the shelf.

Granny brought me a new dress all the way from England. My cousin Summer helped pick it out. Thanks Granny and Summer!

At Vivi's school, the teachers do hand motions when they sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - basically both hands opening and closing - like twinkling stars. Now Vivi does the hand motions when we sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - until she gets bored and crawls away.

Oh look, food on the floor.

Vivi had a great first Thanksgiving. She ate turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Cranberry sauce was her favorite, followed by stuffing and mashed potatoes.

Waving

Vivi's new trick - waving. She has sort of waved a few times before now, but in the last couple days, she really figured it out. Earlier this week she reached her hand out to everyone she saw but didn't move her fingers. Today, she started waving by moving her fingers and she has been waving at people all day long.

What's out the window?

Vivi is nine months old! Favorite things to do - pull up on the couch, pull up on the chairs, pull up on the walls, pull up on laundry baskets, pull up on toys, climb stairs, swing, eat (especially whatever is on mommy and daddy's plate). She's crawling, has cut one tooth with another near the surface, and is babbling (dadada, gagaga, bababa, yayaya, nanana, mamama). 15 lbs 10 oz, 25.75 in tall, head is 43 cm.

I got my own Christmas tree - I read ate the instructions.

Then we put lights and little toys on it.
