There's a monkey loose at the zoo!

Painting and goats

Happy Saturday.

I worked on some masterpieces.

Then I visited the flamingos at the zoo.

I even fed the goats. I was a little afraid at first...

...But I got brave.

Then I came home and painted again. This time, I painted my tummy.

The Carousel

We have an old carousel in town

Vivi loved watching the horses go around.

She was less sure of riding it - and wouldn't have anything to do with actually getting on a horse.

Fish fish fish! So excited about all the fish in the pet store. Running from tank to tank with arms flying.

Language development

For quite a while now Vivi has said duck, dog, dada, mama, and all done. Just in the last few days she has quite a few new words: outside (oow-si),  shoe (sh), sock (aah), fish (ish), monkey (ookey), draw (I-dra), bubbles, water and Elmo (mo). She also knows animal sounds for a monkey, lion, and dog. She also says a lot of other things - but we don't understand what she's saying. 

She signs/gestures "more" "milk" "so big" "yes" "no" and points to her head/belly/legs/feet/ears/eyes/nose/fingers/arms/hands/teeth, when asked, follows simple directions and knows the names of all of her toys and all of her friends. She understand EVERYTHING we say.

A day of art

In the morning, I painted pictures at home.

 Then we went to the I Madonnari, an Italian street painting (chalk) festival. There was a special section just for kids.

I wore my dragon costume. It didn't take me long to realize I could be helpful to all the kids who were drawing.
