Pre-School Fall Potluck

My school had a party. The big kids painted pumpkins. We got little ones that we mostly just chewed on.

I don't remember agreeing to this.

I sat surprisingly still for the face painting lady to make a pumpkin on my cheek.

Fireplace

Now that Vivi is on the move, the fireplace has been child-friendlied. We painted a piece of wood with magnetic paint and then with chalkboard paint so that it is both a chalkboard and a magnetic board. It slides in and out to cover up the fireplace.

Vivi's dinner initially included bits of carrots, avocado, sweet potato, tofu, cheese and baby puffs (the donut-shaped things) spread out on her high chair tray (see BEFORE picture). After a few minutes Vivi had systematically located, picked up, and eaten every puff (see AFTER picture). Vivi loves puffs. If there is a single puff on the tray, Vivi will find it and eat it.

Adventures in eating - stage 2

They are finally letting me feed myself! (this is chunks of tofu)

 

Just two days ago, Vivi would eat anything we fed her - as long as it was blended. As of last night, Vivi is  boycotting mashed foods. She only eats what she can feed herself. Unfortunately feeding herself is very complicated. She has to pick up the little foods, get them to her mouth and then let go - in that order - every time. This means we end up with more food on the floor than in Vivi.

8 Months Old

8 months old

26.5 inches long, 15.0 pounds. Likes eating (anything - and lots of it!), feeding herself baby puffs, being upside down, tickles, swings, playing in the pool, bath time, rubber duckies, books, singing, and bubbles. Army crawling and gorilla crawling, no teeth.

Last night she slept for 8 hours straight and then another 4.5 hours.
